Tom Niven grew up in Long Island, New York, and got his start behind the mic in Gettysburg and Chambersburg, Pa. in the 1950's.

Tom started WKER-Radio,  in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, in 1964.

He was also the proud owner of WKER from 1982-1993.

During his time as station owner, he focused his resources on presenting the best local news & local sports coverage in radio and was recognized by the U.S. Congress for doing so.  Tom was the man behind the "Mighty 1500's" glory days!

Tom is currently the Operations Manager and Chief Engineer here at WGHT-Radio. He also contributes his voice to various on-air voice-over liners and the radio station's Legal I.D. which can be heard at the top of each hour.

He's been married to his wife Anne for over 50 years and is still a local resident, right here in WGHT's listening area.

As Tom puts it: "I never got tired of radio or Anne and Anne never got tired of me or radio too!"

Tom and Anne also have a home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Please visit Tom's WGHT Radio page often because we will be adding additional photographs from Tom's old radio days as we get them.
